Thumbs up World’s 10 Best Waterfalls

I’ve only visited one of the ten, Niagara Falls, US and Canada; it really is prettier from the Canada side. Recommend the ‘Maid of the Mist’ boat tour, it’s worth getting wet.
One more thing - water resistance and waterproof, BIG difference.

2X each Iguacu and Niagara. Vic Falls is on the agenda for next year--perhaps when Bob is retiring, but we still have high priority and his last 5 wks vacation.

For those that have not visited Iguazu Falls, a few more photos.

What is the area around the Falls like? I’m assuming not as “flashy’ as Niagara (fireworks)

Iguazu is absolutely amazing, if you go, you need to go to both sides. Argentinian and Brazilian... Flying from AEP to IGR if you are lucky to get a window seat and have nice weather you will also fly over them....

The city of Puerto Iguazu is quite small there is not a lot to see (went there 3 years ago), hotel are ok but not great. I remember an excellent pasta restaurant on one of the main street.
There are buses to go to the closest cities in Paraguay or Brazil (if you are a Us citizen you need a visa) which are less than an hour away, did not have time to go add Paraguay to the amount of countries I visited.

Have also been to Iguacu and Niagara only.
The Brazil city of Foz do Iguacu is actually quite large, and we enjoyed it there.

Victoria and Angel are high on our wishlist! Just have to wait for a Regime change in Caracas...

Both Paraguay and Brazil require a visa. Some of the guidebooks and folks on tripadvisor state that if you get the right taxi driver, he/she can get you across the border without a visa or perhaps with a handshake (wink wink). Didn't chance it but enjoyed the Argentine side. Took the boat ride to the Brazilian side. Nonrevving on LAN went smoothly although we got the last seats on the flight back.
