True, but crowds of tourists carrying umbrellas does obstruct one’s view.Besides as a southern Californian I don’t get a lot of “umbrella practice” I mean the strategic timing needed to close one’s umbrella early enough to avoid bad luck, but late enough not to get wet in the rain, is rather tricky.

Unfortunately nowadays when the rain stops it is no better as the umbrellas are replaced by hundreds of ipads and tablets that are being used to take photos rather that a proper ( and less obstructive ) camera !!
P.S. 9/10 on the views ... can never work out which Tate which !
