    Default LAX or BUR ?

We're (me, my wife & 2 < 10 year old kids) flying from Ireland to LA start of August, spending a few days in LA before non-rev up to SEA.

All dependent on loads of course, but wondering what BUR is like to non-rev out of, in comparison to LAX? AS has 3 or 4 daily flights to SEA out of BUR, lots more from LAX of course.

I've used LAX maybe 3 or 4 times previously, but never before with my kids. A smaller airport like BUR, which is also much closer to where we're staying than LAX, seems an attractive option.

Would be interested to hear any thoughts or advice.

    Thanks.

Definitely BUR, it’s smaller, less hectic. And since you’re staying out in that area, Universal Studios with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is worth a visit (the kids will love it) and next door is CityWalk lots of restaurants and shops.

BTW, Universal Studios has something called “Front of the Line” passes which you can use to skip the lines and get priority seating at the shows. We’re never opted for this $$, but “our visiting horde were teenagers so they just spend the time in lines on the phone.

Ok, our AS rep is very very good. And one more tip that has saved us while waiting in line at the theme parks, bubbles - kids love bubbles and it keeps the little ones entertained - oh yeah I’ve been to the rodeo and back.

Ah, that's good to know, as I'll probably ask for some advice as well as the raw numbers. You can't beat some informed local knowledge.

    I'll remember that bubbles tip

Hey, that's fantastic, thank you MRSDS1DONNA. I might PM you towards the end of July just to get an idea about how it looks, if you don't mind, and then again around August 7th/8th to make a decision on which to go for.

    Much appreciated!
