Adorable Monkey Cabal Takes Over Indonesian Temple | Fodor's Travel

We had a similar issue in Bali but it was a "sanctuary" known a Monkey Forest. After our initial visit, we were done with the "attraction". Those little critters can be mean and nasty!
I was raised having unusual pets in the house--mostly parakeets, lizards, snakes and a spider monkey named Socrates. I recall a few turtles but Socrates was the best! He'd go crazy when he saw the tin can of grub worms for his daily snack. Eldest sibling had an incident when Soc jumped on her head and peed on her hair curlers! Sister was NOT happy...
