This flight makes a stop over in FNA then continues on to cky. When pricing the route CDG-FNA-CKY through my IDtravel price came up to be $287.76. Then I separately priced CDG-FNA (just to the stop over city) this was priced at $122.48 then the next leg FNA-CKY a 30min flight $165.28 Gov taxes being $140. I read somewhere that if you are flying thru a city where you are just connecting not your origin city neither your destination city, there is a way as a thru passenger of either being reimbursed your taxes you paid for that leg or not having to pay the taxes period. Is this accurate? if yes how do I go by doing that? Thank you everyone your help is really appreciated.

Hello and welcome. Unfortunately I doubt you will get any kind of reimbursement because you get the tickets through my id travel and your airline is not involved. Example let's say you are an AA employee, take AA to LHR then connect on BA to DEL, you will still have to pay the British hefty departure taxes but on the return same route by showing your boarding pass on BA to the AA gate agent in LHR for your return to the Us, this agent can show you as a through passenger therefore override the departure taxes. On an airline which is not yours, the ticket is paid and set up already, the agent of the other airline cannot override anything. I hope I was clear. enjoy your trip.
