More like annihilated. All the Caribbean flying left out of JFK are to SJU, BGI & PAP on a daily basis and STT, SXM, ANU & UVF on a less than daily or seasonal basis. Gone are SDQ, PUJ, AUA (used to be served by a 747 back in the 70s and a route AA served for ~40 years), PLS and others. I remember taking AA DC-10s and A300s to the Caribbean on many family vacations back in my pre-nonrev days.
