I got back a couple of days ago from Buenos Aires, Argentina and SAO PAULO BRAZIL. We spent six nights in Buenos Aires and two nights in Brazil. Plenty of time. Walked all over Buenos Aires, plus they have a great subway system called the SUBTE. Short for Subterrainian. I can give more details later, but one interesting occurrance was running into famous former world champion boxer GEORGE FOREMAN at the Grand Hyatt in Sao Paulo, and later in the airport. Nonreving it down there was pretty good, however, I had to route through NEWARK from Sao Paulo since the flight to Houston was on WEIGHT RESTRICTION. It got a little shady on VARIG airlines in Sao Paulo when we arrived there to get on that airline to Buenos Aires, it seemed the VARIG people didn't know how to organize on that particular gate. Totally dissarrayed, and people jumping in front of you trying to find out how to get on with their destinations, and the gate people talking on phones to avoid talking to customers, but fortunately, some agent came from heaven, that knew what she was doing, and at the last minute, realized that there were PLENTY OF SEATS to Buenos Aires. I really didn't think I would make it that day with these agents. My advice would be to bypass Brazil and go offline to an airline that goes straight to Buenos Aires like United. Unless you want to see Brazil too. I am glad we got to go to Brazil too.
