I nonrevved to Easter Island last October 2004. The year before I tried SCL-IPC and failed to get on so last year I went PPT-IPC and got on no problem. Then IPC-SCL was also ok but I had a IPC-PPT as an escape route just in case which was wide open.

The thing is to try and go in the less touristy season. The weather is almost just as good and there are far fewer visitors. From what I heard you can almost forget NR in December-February.

Last piece of advice. Go! Fantastic place.
