Hi,
I’ve been nonreving to EZE from the UK for about six years during Xmas, Easter and off-peak days (at least twice a year). Usually is way easier to get to EZE than to get out so plan in advance and ensure you take plenty of back up tickets. March should be OK but since Argentina is so convenient for Europeans at the moment is a tough place for nonreving.
To EZE:
In my experience, I would first try AF and then BA. Although BA would be my 1st choice, they fly via GRU and with the current RG situation I will not recommend you that.
All in all these are the options:
AF 1 daily nonstop with 772
IB 2 daily nonstop with 742 and 346
LH 1 daily via GRU with 744
BA four times a week with 744 via GRU
AZ daily with 772 (5 days from MXP and 2 from FCO)
If you want to the safest choice, go via USA with AA. They usually have plenty of room and it should not be a problem. They fly daily from JFK with 772, from DFW with 763 and twice daily from MIA with 772. DFW is usually wide open (at least the times I tried)
Tip: The leg between GRU and EZE with LH and BA is always wide open. If you can make your way to GRU you can easily connect the BA or LH flights without any problems.
From EZE:
Again, take a few back up tickets and be patient. The good thing is that all airlines depart from the same hall and the airport is nice and new. You can try the European carriers first (they leave early afternoon) and if it does not work then you have all the AA flights in the evening. This is always my last resource.
Little story:
About three years ago after trying all the European carriers, I was nearly on my way home when I decided to approach the UA desk (at the time my airline didn’t fly to EZE and I only have back up tickets with AF/BA/LH) although I didn’t have any tickets with them. I started talking to the UA lady at the counter and I explained how desperate I was for getting back to the UK. I was nearly on my way home when she offered me one of her own buddy passes to IAD. She made my year with that
Let me know if you have any questions.

That's a really great story. Once a pilot friend of ours offered to jump-seat so I could make a flight, but we had photos on him.

Mike,
Flights from DFW to EZE are usually OK right?
Hi guys,
Thanks for all the info.
I'm flying from AMS, so DFW is not so easy to get to. Any idea on the loads of the AA flights from JFK to EZE?
My first bet would ben AF, then IB.
Does any of you have acces to more detailled load info on any of these flight?
Thanks!
Djim
Hello everybody,
Just came back from Argentina...all I can say: a great country!
BA is a really nice city, good atmosphere and many things to do!
As for the flights: we took flew AMS-GRU and then the next morning GRU EZE on LH. Both flights had enough seats open (about 30-40).
On the way back it was a bit more busy. We took AZ to MXP, one seat and one jumpseat (but with the added bonus of being allowed to use the crew rest).
For flights in Argentina, we flew LAN because the allow ZED. But aerolinas argentinas allows crew on board for free after a short talk with the captain.
In the end a great place to visit!
