Update....Tourist attractions and accommodations, as well as commercial flights, in Nicaragua continue to be in operation after the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that struck near the capital city of MGA at 5:30 p.m. on April 10, 2014, causing minor damage...The epicenter of the earthquake registered in Lake Managua at a depth of 10 kilometers. Several aftershocks of lesser magnitude were felt throughout the night. Damage to houses and buildings in Nagarote, about 30 miles northwest of Managua, was reported, but no major tourist destinations were affected. The cities of Granada, Masaya, Leon, San Juan del Sur and the Pacific and Caribbean beaches, suffered no damage. All flights into and out of the country and tours have continued as scheduled..
