Default Who's Been to BsAs lately?

Wild hair decision to run off w/out Boss next week. Loads look good for S2 (can't waste them!) and S4 sister who's never been. My last trip was 09--yikes!
So, this is almost new. Found some great/huge 2BR apts Recoleta for under $150nt.
Anyone have current rates for taxis or transport ideas from EZE? So far, the reciprocal suspension will end 6/22 if not renewed. Hey, saving $160 is good idea. Any other advice about anything you've experienced more recently than 09?
    Much appreciated!

My last visit was in '12. Splurged for the reciprocity fee back when it first came out and got to use it 3x. Don't remember the rates but taxi Ezeiza and Manuel tienda Leon are names I remember. I believe you can book in advance or go to the booth outside of customs and pay there. They are both remises with a fixed rate as opposed to radio taxis with meter rates. The Argentina sections of tripadvisor and flyertalk have good info. Used to stay at the hotel lion dor in recoleta, walking distance to the cemetery. Used to get good rates, under $100 US but cash only. Longing to go back for some great steak, choripan, dulce de Leche and Malbec. El mirasol was one of many favorites.

Wow--found 2 BR apt w/10' ceilings (Belle Epoch), 2 blks to Recoleta cemetery, 1200 sq ft--bargained to $500/4 nts. Off season is great! Loads look great--guess sis and I are heading down south! Crank up the grill and uncork the Reserva! Time to tango...

Sounds good. Rentals sound like a good deal but was a little hesitant in the past just in case we didn't make it on. Back when AA used to use the 767-300 on JFK-EZE, I remember the heartbreak watching the plane pull back with empty seats in J and Y due to a weight restriction for cargo. I was so sure we'd get on I ended up paying for a 1 night hotel stay since we didn't make it and it was less then 24 hours to cancel. If you haven't been yet, Mendoza and Iguazu are worthwhile side trips. Enjoy your trip!

Ive been to Iguacu 2 times waaaaay back when. Never on the Arg side, tho. Our rental has open dates for 6 wks (it's THAT off season!) so if any issue, I'd likely get agent to move us. Maybe a small penalty, but not sure. All our flts have been going out w/great loads--no cargo issues right now either way--several days. Using 76W and 764. Should be good. Buddy will live ok in coach but she is my big sister! We'll know soon.

2 copies of Nonrev Prayer (for the gate agents) wasted. Some flight cancelled for tonight and ours is now oversold. Our count was really good and now it's really UGLY. Any ideas? I have buddy pass rider with me. Numbers are so whacked! Possible for SCL with KLM to EZE but only on select days. Price was decent @ $150 rev. Then there's the issue of getting to SCL. ARGHHHHHHH

Oh no sorry to hear. Not sure about transit visa requirements but what about GIG/GRU then a hopefully cheap rev ticket to EZE?

When are you flying out? If June 16th, wait until close to EZE takeoff to verify numbers. If it looks bad your best bet with buddy passes is going into SCL, takeoff times are close together so you will probably have to pick one over the other. But, flights from SCL to EZE are lowest you will find for a buddy pass at around $100 on SKY. If seats are available you would have a 5 hour layover for 1 12:55pm flight.

OK, looks like SCL has expensive entry fee of $131 though. One more look and Chile looks like the fee has been waived since Feb. 2014, hard to tell if the fee is back or not.
