    Default airbnb

I am curious if anyone on here has booked an apartment through airbnb.com. If so, could you share your experience?

    Thanks and Happy New Year!

Hi there, I booked a 'room' for 2 nights for my recent stay in Amsterdam. We LOVED the people and they have now become our friends and have invited us back (no charge) to visit them in the future. The hotels prices were CRAZY at around $300 for a budget type place so we really couldn't go wrong with the $80 price we paid. They picked us up at the airport, took us to the train station adn then to our cruise terminal at the end of our stay.

So my experience was fantastic. I would definitely stick to the ones that have 'reviews' as I wouldn't want to be one of first people for a new person.

    HOpe that helps.

And if you happen to go to Amsterdam, I would be happy to share with you my new AMS family.

Thank you for the info on your Air BNB experience! We have looked at that as an option and wondered how it turned out for some real people...your review will make us feel better about using Air BNB in the future!

We just met a couple who run one in Des Moines. We started chatting at the pool at a resort in Cancun this week. Both military retirees--he works Homeland Security still.
I'd actually make a trip there to just stay at one of their 6 rooms and go to the sights in town--like the farmer's market, which is supposed to be great (my great uncle was a pig farmer in Iowa--bet they have some good pork there!)
I've been a member for a year but never used any properties yet.

Hey SummerShi I try to open this link but it not open properly. I heard about this site from many people and they told me that it is a very good site where you can find some good information.

Airbnb is great. I've used it in Montreal, Denver, Lisbon, Rio de Janeiro and Barcelona. One tip to get an even greater deal on a listing you like is to send a message to the host saying that you'd like to negotiate on the price because you found a great place in great area of town for such and such price. If the host agrees, he or she will create a "special offer" listing that only you can see and that is cheaper than the publicly listed price. You can save yourself quite a few bucks doing this.
