By some strange fluke, I just bought a 5 nt stay for 4 at a 2BR villa, private pool, bfasts and some other perks for $1. Location: Naxos Greece! Good thru May 31 or Oct 1-Mar31. Granted, I had to pay a concierge booking fee of $40 but that's not TOO bad! If I give it to my sister and niece and their spouses, the cost breakdown is 5 cents per person per day. Sounds like "Peanuts"? If they can't nonrev on BPs (DL is seasonal) maybe WE can use it...

Well, that's exactly what happened! Apparently the auction programming allowed several LL bidders to win the auction inside an hour. I was devastated, but not really surprised. They run mystery auctions for a week. I was the "first" bidder with $1. I saw the winning bid email shortly thereafter. I checked my account and credit card and yep, it's true... The apology call came a few hours later.

PS--the usual auction price is as low as $871--that's not bad at all!
