    Hi Peter,

I am coming down on Sunday and have booked the above hotel. Any info on it? I am bringing my mum so I want it to be comfortable etc.

Also, can you give me some info of possible nightlife activities in the area (for when mum is tucked up in bed and I get to 'go it alone!') :-)

I met up with one of the DNATA management team the other day who was travelling on one of our flights and he has kindly offered to give me some info of what to do etc while there. I am especially interested in going out on a desert safari one evening to watch the sunset etc. Any ideas who to book that through?

Thanks for any info and speak to you soon :-)

    Hi Mark,
I just found this post of yours while I was browsing.
Very sorry I did not respond but got no email notification at all. I did get an email notification on the post made after you got back.

Wonder what went wrong - shame, as I was in town.

Anyhow glad all went well. The Oasis is pretty good value compared to most of the other beach hotels, although there is some construction which has started on the landward side which may be distracting.
Hope you found some good night spots after Mum went to bed!!
Did you manage a dune bashing trip?

    cheers

    Hi Peter,

Glad to hear back from you. The Oasis was fine, and although they are extending (new appartments being built by the owner in front of the property) we were not at all disturbed by the noise. The suite we were given had excellent double-glazing on the balcony doors!

Didn't go Dune bashing this time as was enjoying being lazy as well as entertained by friends out there for the 3 nights we were there. on my next trip I will possibly do the 'Dune Thaang'.

Would appreciate getting in touch with you sometime on a personal matter... not concerning staff travel. Thanks if you can spare a moment. I am reachable on "sr_sn_markwest@yahoo.com".

    Take care and thanks...

    Mark
