Sabrett is the street dog of choice--just a regular ol' NY tubesteak--snappy casing
belching is optional one block after eating....

now Nick--you aren't going to miss a big greasy slice of pizza--folded over and dripping down your wrist, are you??

stop and say Hi to my nephew if you're in Central Park---he's in groundskeeping--big guy named Matthew--known by all the staff!

Before that explanation, I thought for a split second that he was homeless and living there or something

NOw I've seen it all!! a pizza tour of brooklyn! what a hoot

I could eat my way thru NY!! my ex-fiance was in the food biz and I've had some pretty awesome meals--Jean Georges Vongericten, Aquavit, Lydia's Foie gras, Daniel {bouloud} etc. and a slice on the street is hard to beat!

Have a great time!!!

They claim Brooklyn pizza is the best pizza in the NYC buroughs but if you can get a slice of pizza ANYWHERE within those buroughs including New Jersey, you're still way ahead of the game. ITS ALL GOOD UP THERE. It's like saying which is colder. New York or New Jersey. Its all cold whenever the mercury dips.

Update on CAI/JFK
We've been warned about cargo again
We're still planning to go in a few weeks, but Plan B and C options are MUSTS since frequency is not daily

To get back to the States, our best options are:
AF to CDG
KL to AMS
LH to FRA
BA to LHR or BMI or EgyptAir (my last choice)
All have nonstops but few leave as redeyes so connecting means another overnight soemwhere

Anyone else have suggestions?

Cactusplt--when are you going and which guide did you choose (price info, too) please

I went to CAI about two weeks ago and was planning on leaving on the 12:30am flight on Sunday morning. About 6 hours before teh flight I checked the numbers and it went from what was about 20 open seats down to 0. I was number 1 on the list (even though I don't have Mrs767's seniority). I got a little nervous because of the weight restrictions and the fact that the next flight was 48 hours later and was oversold by 15 or so. Like any experienced non-rev international traveler I had a backup.... LH to FRA for $103. I thought I would play it safe and go to Germany. Upon arrival in FRA, I logged on to see if I made the right choice. Delta flight from CAI to JFK left with 5 empty seat an NO non-revs!!! $103 well spent. I just wish LH upgraded me as there were business class seat that were open. ALWAYS have an out.
