    That is correct. Agent will roll standbys over. Since AA is based on time of check-in, and that is when you checked in for your initial flight (as far as I know) you'd be hurting yourself to list multiple times, not to mention making things a little difficult for other nonrevs below you (if you may or may not show up, depending on if you get the original one). That said, on UA it's an entry the agent does have to do, and sometimes forgets to. It's not unreasonable to ask them if they've transferred the list before going to your gate

    Brian is on target, do not list for backup flights. You only have to go with plan B, if plan A doesn’t work out. And download the JetAway app (you can see the priority list) it will help.

    Unlike in the past, they will not *automatically* roll you over. Just wait until the flight closes out and departs before approaching the agent to make sure that you are in fact rolled over to the following day's flight. Hopefully, you won't be the one left behind!

    Thank you guys so much! Even though that was a silly question the answers you all gave me were still full of valuable information, haha.

    Also, I heard that you should dress appropriately incase the only space available is in first class, because you could be refused because of how you are dressed? Is there anything else like that I should know?

    My date of departure is less than two weeks away now! I'm so excited!

    Personally I always list for F (shoot for the stars)
    JayA non-revving is an art form, it’s luck and you’re playing the odds.
    Read the Trip Book, rely on your preparation, accept that you and your fiancé can be split and/or stuck, and keep the non-rev prayer close to the vest.
    Oh and a sense of humor it’s an asset.

    Love the dreaded 'Sorry, only First Class is available'!

    When AA had a strict FC dress code, I always dressed the part, even on short flights. You just never know.


    Good luck and keep us posted how everything goes. Crossing our fingers that you and your fiance get one of the eight lucky seats!

    Hi everyone! I'm not sure if any one will be able to answer this in time, but I'm a little confused about our check-in. We have two flights, one from PHX/DFW and then DFW/HKG. We checked in for our entire PNR, but when I look at the priority lists, I only see us on the flight from PHX to DFW. I don't see us at all on the DFW/HKG flight. I've tried checking in again and it says that we already have checked in. Just want to make sure I'm doing this right! We leave for the airport in 12 hours, lol!

    So also, it appears the only seats that will be open will be in business. We listed for coach though. If the only seats they have open are in business, will it matter that we didn't list for them? I know we would be behind anyone listing for business, but if there are open seats we could take them (as long as we pay accordingly for them) right?

    Thank you so much to everyone on here again. I can't wait to tell you all about China!

    You will not show up on the hkg flight priority list until after you are issued a boarding pass for your phx to dfw flight. If first/business are all that is available that is where you will sit. Good luck and safe travels!
