Hello!
I am currently a companion on the UA system (SKW pilot) and will be switching to an AA non-rev companion (SKW Pilot) come 1 JAN 2023. I have a few questions if anyone is kind enough to answer! I know there is a $100 yearly "buy-in" fee to get in, but here goes:
1) Are yield fares reasonable and based upon per segment (like United) or per distance, etc? For example, on United I get charged about $35 per leg (incl tax) + about $20 imputed income to the primary holder.
2) I've heard AA nonrevving is based upon check in times. How does this work as I'm used to being dead last (SA5X on UA and S4C on Delta) on the standby list.
2a) How does the priority work then for boarding?
3) Once I get signed up on the primary's benefits, will I have access to the travel manager to book my own? I have NO idea how AA's system works as I've only used UA's DL's & F9's.
Thanks for the help!
