I wonder why airlines of that size (CX, UA) wouldn't jump at the ZED's/ Must be more to it than we know.

Is there any way that you can check the loads from HKG-Bali (DPS?) on CX from 8/19-8/22?
I sent you an email, this would be in case you didn't get that
Thanks, I owe ya one

No idea... took forever to get a ZED with DL, and I think that was only due to the merger. Wish they flew somewhere other than LAX though, a bit over that gateway.

CX785 STD 1005 STA 1450 (FT4:45) = 15+J / 4Y
CX673 STD 1900 STA 2345 (FT4:45) = 12J/21Y

20Aug
CX785 = 15+J/42Y
CX673 = 15+J/50+Y

21Aug
CX785 = 15+J/50+Y
CX673 = NONOP

22Aug
CX785 = 15+J/50+Y
CX673 = 15+J/50+Y

We upgrade rev pax into J to accept you into Y if need be. Planes are listed as EQV, but i'm pretty sure they are A333s

Thanks so much. I'm assuming that those are the amounts of available seats? Different format than I am used to seeing

Yes it is the available seats.... 15+/50+ is basically a standard meaning waaay open.... under those numbers it will list actual seats available.

Hey, pilot! Where did you decide to stay in Bali? Keep us briefed, please! I'll pick your brain later about HKG--it might be as late as Jan, but well before Chinese NY. Have a great trip!

Won't be there until thursday but we will be at the Grand Hyatt. $133 a night seemed like a good rate. Thinking we will stay there a few days and then go to Ubud for a day or two, and then back to the beach

Out of four of us, 2 got biz and 2 are in coach. The new ual biz is very nice. Nicer than my old favorite emirrites.

2 hour weather delay on the taxiway before a 15 hour flight is giving us plenty of time to enjoy it

Ubud is really cool. Temples and monkey forest (kids will eat that up--watch your stuff--they grab everything. Coffee farms, rafting, elephants. Sari Spa is one we liked in Ubud--very cheap and so Balinese. I am totally green with envy!
I assume you stuck the kids in coach!

Ual let us switch part way so we sort of split it up

I'd never heard of the Langham and was a bit put off by its being in mong kok but I saw it on the drive in and it was nice looking. We are doing it family class so I got us into the Holiday inn golden mile in TST for $600 a night, about $77 for a nice place in a good location

I wouldn't have chosen Mong Kok because I loved being up in the midlands or on HK. Langham deal has alot of perks so we're looking that way. Might be different way to appreciate the city! Thanks for the opinion!
