UA is a ZED participant, but MH/UA do not have a bilateral ZED agreement.
It wasn't so long ago that our agreement was ID75.
Hopefully by the time you and I fly on each others' carriers, a ZED agreement will be in place

Skipper,
Your question is unclear as to what tickets you are holding versus ZED. If you ask me to choose, I'll choose full fare provided i'm not paying for it.
I'm assuming you are using your own airline's staff ticket/ID90 equivalent, then yes, having ZED may help BUUUUUUTTTTTT
Bear in mind a few things about Asia based airlines
1. Your ZED can only be used for the destination specified, they will not let you use it for any other destination even though the ticket price might be cheaper and to their benefit.
2. ZED does not mean you can go on any ZED carriers unless your airline has agreement with the other carrier. I once tried to fly UA from HKG using a ZED but they declined me as their agreement with my airline is ID90 !?!?! even though both airlines are ZED members.
