I am planning trip to Ko Samui, Thailand. I can get to BKK on my airline, UAL, but from BKK to Ko Samui (USM) Thai Airlines only has 2 flights a day. Bangkok Airlines (PG) has lots but we seem to have no agreement on them. Has anyone used a Thai (TG) ID95 on Bangkok Air? What about purchasing on the spot with them, on day of travel?

Different company, would not be able to use the ticket with them.

Tkts are at least US$140 each way at this time of year, best to try TG I think. Otherwise one can get a night train and ferry but quite slow (Bangkok to Ko Samui, Pha Ngan & Tao — Travelfish.org). TGs checkin operation at BKK is quite smooth, all at counter J19

I would assume by next year Thai Tiger might be operating the route...

    1. JFK-BKK cancelled back in 2009 by TG.
    2. Call TG res. desk and do not make same mistake I've done by registering on flyzed.com
    3. Great non-rev exprnce in BKK with a designated wicket for non-rev by TG.
    4. Excellent in-flight service on TG J class

Interesting as I have used flyzed.com to list on TG a couple of times a year over the last few years with NEVER a problem.

TG request that you use the site and really think you should.

The TG BKK Staff check-in counter are always polite and helpful.

    Cheers.

Flassher, yes it is interesting, after flyzed.com registration made, i decided to verify and called up TG res desk. Gave them flight number, dates, locator - a girl said - you are not listed anywhere in TG system.
Guess, the best for TG travellers would be to do both by spending 5 minutes instead of spending 5 grand to get our of BKK )))

PDX MSP or DTW are typically better options to get to NRT than SFO SEA or LAX (really long nonrev lists)
I frequently monitor past flt skeds to both NRT and BKK legs

Keep in mind you can now connect thru Haneda and layover then head to NRT as well. We've done ICN but then it's not DL metal (we used skymiles for biz class) but it's a funky place to hang for a day

I'm going to BKK next month w/buddy pass rider via SFO for her--I haven't decided which works best for me yet, since I have so many options.
    more to follow...

GOOD GRIEF--this is an OLD thread!!
