    Default URGENT!! HND/NRT Please

Has anyone flown into HND and connected next day to NRT? Stayed at HND area? Have 3 buddies looking @NRT loads (horrendous) and we're thinking outside the box. Any advice is appreciated. 2 are in SFO now and 3rd is coming from DAB. We can easily work w/either LAX or SEA (best). Flights arrive HND around 10pm and BKK leaves next day 7 pm.
    Thanks a bunch, everyone!

even tomorrows flights out of SFO have 60+ seats

edit, boy I swear I saw SFO-NRT direct for tomorrow and now its not there. So forget about that one.

quick google search for ways to get from NRT to HND so I guess just do it in reverse

I think she may be looking at JP-US flights, not the other way around

It looks like the transfer between airports is surprisingly decent, even on public transport. Note that one "transfer" is just a name change of the same train. Supposedly you can stay on board. https://maps.google.com/maps?q=nrt+a...YDHf-EbRqcMyDQ

Good luck, I have to go to bed now. I will check progress when I get up.

nope, no direct SFO/NRT on 20th.. SFO and PDX are intermittent. Just figured out the BIG issue --TOKYO MARATHON 23rd!! ARGHHHH. working liek crazy to find them place to stay anywhere close to HND--they never checked the train sked--I sent them the same link! Thanks--we'll keep looking and proceed as needed. If not, I suggested Guatemala...

Are they still in SFO? They could do SFO-MSP-NRT-BKK looks good, but it is a 6:30am flight out of SFO if you get this and can contact them.

If they are in SFO that looks like the best option, if they are in SEA those flights look fine also.

Sorry but wouldn't you have a better chance using TPE or HKG instead of NRT? I know HKG has loads of connections to BKK (should have pretty good connection to SFO/LAX as well). Plus these few weeks is "very" off peak for asia traveling.

Flyingbusman, problem is that mrs767er's friends are on buddy passes so they can only fly Delta.

DOH! I knew there is something missing that I don't get , otherwise it sounded quite weird.

Well if you arrive at HND around 10pm, you might miss the public transport if you get delayed or out late. Or you could catch the last few trains to Roppongi and spend the night drinking in a bar (they open til early as some office workers do that when they missed the last train home on Friday).

I noticed Chiba Stadium is in between HND and NRT. There are a couple of large hotels there. Assuming there is no event/expo at the stadium, you might be lucky to get cheap room rates. But do note Chiba Stadium area is quite out of town and has nothing much to see or do. If all you want is cheap lodging its something you can look into
