Flying Non rev on Delta from Salt Lake City to San Juan Puerto Rico on the 19th of October and returning on the 24th. Me and a few friends are going. I am flying as an employee and I am giving two of my friends buddy passes. Anyone know how hard it is to get there non rev ? We got a room in the ESJ towers and we are trying to figure out some cool things to do when we get there. Any advice ? I am 20 and renting a car is too expensive for us. Any advice on transportation ? We really want to try some things like scuba, cave tours, Bacardi tour etc. But wont have a car.

Everyone on this website is awesome ! Thank you for your help

you might want to look at the option of flying night before SLC/ATL and getting cheap room (Comfort Inn North--ask for DL employee rate 404-768-7800) and take on of the early flights ATL/SJU--wide open!
worth the extra $60 to almost guarantee first class (9:51 and 10:55 have oodles of front seats)
you get there much earlier (beach time!!)
local buses are really cheap
free stuff--2 forts in old san juan--really great walkaround
get a guidebook from your library
haven't done the rainforest but I'm sure you can take bus and see w/out buying tour--just pay admission
Metropol restaurant is great food--cheap--local (Condado/Isla Verde area)--also Mi Casita
I'm sure you'll get lots more info soon

Awww, you flatterer.

TBM, you're in luck, quite a few forum members have visited Puerto Rico and as I recall, there is a trip report somewhere.
Try doing a search; type in the word "bacardi" that should bring up something.

Now don't be a stranger.
