I've been exactly in that area myself. I like to slam a few of those crabs, they do it real good there with garlic. Very good eating down at the wharf. I like the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale when I go to Frisco. Great picture.

It's funny, there are a few places around this world that I get to somewhat routinely, and I have my favorite places to eat at most of them. I pretty much associate airport codes w/ food and get hungry looking at my schedule..

You are so right! When I think BBQ, it's Corkys MEM. Seafood? SEA/SFO. Pizza? LGA. Mexican? Now this gets complicated. I've got a great Tex-Mex place in ABQ and ELP. And SAT Alamo too. Of course LAX.

What’s this, pizza and you think LGA - translation - thin crust pizza.
I, on the other hand think pizza -ORD - deep dish (Giordano’s) I always order one to take home (partially baked & frozen for travel) the ultimate Chicago souvenir.

Living in the northeast, I get my share of thin crust pizza, and it's great, but the best is Giordano's. I'm not kidding when I admit that I've purposely scheduled a layover in Chicago just for some pizza..

Sadly there is no good pizza in L.A. What they serve here is cardboard topped with tomatoes and cheese, and a west coast concoctioon called Hawaiian style pizza where they add pineapple chunks.
Now there are some places in L.A. that say they serve Chicago style pizza - but nobody’s fooled.
When I want pizza, I go to the source or ship it in.
Coincidently just yesterday I was told about this “supposedly” great Chicago style pizza place down in Orange County - they have both Chicago and Pizza in their name - which of course makes it the genuine article….*deep sigh* we shall see.
