Not so. Our buddies can fly on one RT pass [example] JFK/TLV then return PRG/ATL. There is a fee for destination changes plus any mileage costs/ I just sent my family LAX/NRT/BKK and return BUT they rerouted to SIN/NRT/SFO. The other half of our buddies started MCO/JFK/NRT/BKK and returned SIN/LAX/CVG/MCO. Granted they had to buy rev tickets BKK to SIN--good thing, too, since they X'd the BKK/NRT that day due to mechanical.
I don't believe you can have more than 2 stopovers on RT buddy pass (except for reroutes/reschedules/cancels)
I have nephew in Chile who is now going to Argentina for a few week (on his own ticket).
He will then have option to fly EZE or return to SCL for his flight back.
    Ditto--no codeshares!
