Default Current SEA Thread at Flyertalk

No Delta, my bag is NOT for free advertising - SEA - Page 4 - FlyerTalk Forums

So this thread irks me a little bit. Some new advertisements on DL bags are being placed and people are blaming SEA for it because bags are taking so long and they assume that it's our fault. Would it be unwise for me to post and shed some light on the issue? I noticed these when dumping some planes and when loading them into carts from the bagroom. I can say for a fact that these aren't being put on the bags at SEA in between the arrival flight and the claim because all we ever hear about is making sure we make first and last bag times. They say it takes 40+ mins at SEA to get bags which sucks but it's certainly not true for most of the flights. The dump area is actually contracted out to the people that do wheelchairs at SEA (I have no idea how they got that quite frankly) and they can be slow. The other part of the problem is that we are so badly understaffed that we have 2 or 3 man crews doing the work of 4 or 5. Our station manager is more concerned with getting bonus checks vs actually staffing our operation.

Would it be stupid of me to post and correct them? I don't want to get in trouble by the company because I know they have strict rules against certain things. I'd leave out the part about the station manager obviously. But it still bugs me knowing that my station is getting a bad rep.

hmmm...Wonder if you can word it as authoritative yet anonymous (say that 3 times fast) as an unidentifiable insider (another twister?) There are some seriously arrogant bozos in there! A slight lack of humor, as well...

I don't know what your social media policy is at DL but I would suggest you read it carefully before you post anything. I occasionally post on Flyertalk myself but I state clearly that my views do not reflect those of my employer and even then I am very careful what I say. Basically I just answer the occasional question. No matter what anyone tells you, assume nothing - absolutely nothing - is anonymous online. It can always be traced back to the source if someone looks hard enough. Assume that a ticked off company will look.

Edited: After taking the time to read through the entire thread, I would recommend that you stay out of it. It can only go downhill and thiings look like they have calmed down quite a bit.

Yeah I figured that's probably best. I know anything on deltanet is pretty much off limits to the public but I wasn't sure on this one. Ill just sit back and hope all of these complaints about SEA actually lead to something being done about it.
