If you got on going London getting back was not a problem.
Frightening NOISY takeoff; the fuel burn was the same as the 747; carrying 1/3 the passenger load.
Cruise altitude was 12 miles up (55000-60000 feet) speed twice the speed of sound.
While on temporary assignment at JFK saw it many times and wished I was on it - but not to be !

$100?

I wish! I would have done it if it were that low.
It was actually $800, which is still not bad.
However, for a kid like me who was making $6 an hour at the time, $800 may as well been one million.
If I could go back in time, I would do it for sure!
