Mig is right!! The Jazz festival is our pride and joy here. I live about 20 mins from Montreux and it is a great city to see. To/From Montreux to Lucern there is a good scenic train called the Golden Pass. Lucern is also a great city to see. From Montreux you can get to Zermatt pretty easily. If you haven't already check the swiss rail system website in english at <a href="http://www.rail.ch" target="_blank">http://www.rail.ch</A>.
