We stayed at the Holiday Inn -Victoria Station, but it has been a few years, so you might want to check some recent reviews. It does have a great location, walked to Buckingham Palace, London Eye etc.
The London Pass is great
You might also check out Discount theatre tickets | tkts for discount theater tickets, there’s also a booth in Leicester Square.
I recommend doing the hop-on-hop off sightseeing bus and having a beer and sausage sandwich at Harp’s pub (Covent Garden) You have to visit a pub. *wink*
Oh and don’t forget to stop in at a few of London’s churches, they usually have famous people buried in the basement. ( I know but I couldn’t resist)
