I stayed at the Holiday Inn- Kensington (first time around) and The Hilton London Metropole - second time around (both were in great locations). Both times I visited London was in low season so hotels were affordable (considering it is London we are talking about). London is one of my fav cities in the world- plenty to do and lots of culture. Make sure you do one of the many London walks. I did a London pub crawl, the Jack the ripper walk and a gaslight tour? All were very interesting . Gatwick is cheaper to fly out of, but Heathrow in my opinion is more convenient as you can take the tube into and out of London. If you enjoy Indian/Pakistani food, you wil lbe in heaven. My fave Indian restaurant in London is Woodlands in Marylebone Lane, it is South Indian cuisine (hence it is a vegertarian restaurant).

Chepos
