    Due to the pollution affecting French cities and other areas, public transport will be free in Paris (and all of the Ile-de-France) from Friday, 14 March to Sunday, 16 March. This is in addition to the previous news that Vélib and Autolib will be free while the heavy pollution lasts.
    Other cities are also doing similar things at the moment, however best to check with each one as to what is being offered.


    Get a flight and take advantage of the green policy (or is that grey?) I don't go until tomorrow, but they may extend it longer than Sunday. Still saves me a chunk of Euros! That photo looks pretty grim...

    It's not really THAT bad...free transport is quite cool--stations were quite full, even for a Sunday. It was weird to go thru open turnstiles and no tickets!!
