I tried this on another site I go to a while back, and it was pretty fun. Surprisingly fun, actually, considering you can't get much further from what the site was actually meant for. Basically, post photos and guess what city is shown in other people's photos. Don't forget to edit your posts with the answer once it's guessed!

    I'll start:

Solved by Nick - ANC(huge hint if you look closely - avisalaska.com at the bottom)

I want to say NYC for the first one but think I may be wrong. Pretty sure ANC is the second... is there a prize?

My other guess was Portland, but that ain't close. Boston? Philly?

The cab is the clue... I know it!

Nick, you're all over the place.

Well I'm taking my clue from the streets, they look awfully clean, so I'm going with Memphis.

When I said NYC was close, I mostly meant in terms of how the city itself is, though they aren't too far off. Think north.

Memphis!! How far away from NYC you wanna go? I think it's above the Mason-Dixon line, pardner

And maybe I meant Portland, Maine OK OK i really meant PDX i'll admit it...

Google maps is not help, nor is googling "yellow cabs with green hoods". I'd try green bonnet, but my english dialect isn't going to help me here

Nick, I don't think the cab is going to help much, I'm concentrating on the statue.

I just threw up a higher-res picture, where a few key details may be more visible. Also, I don't know how much of an identifying mark it is, but the cabs are pretty much the same across the city, as I recall.

I'm going for the Cresa Partners building, but they have so many locations in the NE. A quick google shows the pics of their offices in several cities but that didn't help much. I googled statue near Cresa but that didn't help either!

That being said, I'm gonna shoot for Cincinnati or Pittsburgh
