    I think Qantas&#39; "Spirit of Australia" is an apt slogan- it&#39;s been the favourite airline in Australia for a fair while now and Australia is a very flying orientated nation because of the long distances between cities- makes people identify with the airline quite well I think!

    Yeah, I doubt a lot of &#39;non-airline&#39; people know QANTAS is an acronym. Of course this whole business with the spelling could have been avoided if when they went with the abbreviations they chose QUeensland and Northern Territory Aerial Service.
