Ah JFK LHR. I thought IAD just didn't "feel" right. I read an EXCELLENT book on Pan Am from the account of one of their flight attendants. I leant the book to someone, and can't remember who it was nor the books name to find it online.

The book really moved me, it had stories of how this FA swapped Scotch for Caviar in Iran, how he relieved an FA of duty on a flight cause she was drunk and the next week she was found dead on her door stoop in JFK frozen to death the vodka bottle in hand, and also the rise of the jet age where he asked a young man to put his shoes on and the man said "oh gee sir I would but I didn't bring any".

The window would go straight on my wall with a plaque underneath outlining the Clipper name, N number, miles flown, first and last flight etc.

As for the chairs... awesome! When I lived in DAL my landlord had a set of WN seats in his garage - that was cool. Although I would have installed them in my house somewhere for show
