    Default Airline memorabilia, anyone?

Personally, I don't have too much in my collection, but I love what little I do have. They had a supply closet cleanout at my office a few days ago, and some posters were going to be tossed. They did have them up for grabs in the breakroom first, and I basically had first dibs, so I was able to get half a dozen different posters (took one of each unique type they had). I really fell in love with these, and figured I'd get them framed. Really splurged on the frames ($30 each, and I'm not normally the kind to spend much on non-functional decoration) but I'm so glad I did. Saw some cheaper ones at Wal Mart, but the quality sucked, even for $11 each. These should look awesome once I get them hung up:

Oh, and I checked ebay. These things usually sell for about $50 each

Anybody else have something they're particularly proud of?

I absoluetely love those UAL posters, they are awsome. I personally used to collect Timetables (anyone remmber those). As a kid I would call the airline rez offices and request them. The US carriers started getting rid of them early on, however, the international ones were very good with sending me some. I have two destinations posters both from San Juan, one from AA and another from US, I got the AA one at the CR Smith museum store and the US one at the company store. I wish airlines would still spend money on advertising like the used to.

I have a couple dog-eared AA timetables Dec -1999 (previously part of my Y2K preparedness kit) BTW, I flew on Jan 1 2000 - flights were wide open.
Also a friend of mine has two 707 F class seats, picked them up at an AA auction years ago. The seats are fitted to a plywood base for stability.
A nice upscale from his old garage stools.

Collecting posters, pictures, paintings of art work can be pricey and at times, the frame cost more than the painting itself. I collected National Geographic maps for a while, I went as far as laminating them and hanging many of them up in my garage. (I aint framing those.) Sometimes when I take some good pictures, I like to expand them to an 8 by 11 picture, and then frame them. As good of pictures I have taken over the years, why use posters of someone elses picture? And I've picked up some foreign paintings over the years so I'm now out of room to hanging up more pictures. But, nice collection starter for you on the airline posters.

Ooooh, I'd love something like that. The very early days of aviation and airlines are really cool to me

The last major posters of my style that I'd really like at this point are Denver, Chicago, and Hong Kong. The department's administrative assistant loves me (My age is right around her sons', and she says I remind her of them) and thinks she has a few posters rolled up at home. I've also been giving her a ton of boxes after my move for the one she has coming up. If she doesn't have the ones I want most, there are a ton hung up around the office, with many Hong Kong and Chicago ones. She said we can always swap those for one of hers if needed. Denver may be a little tricky to find... I've only seen one in my life, and that's in someone's office. Sounds like it was there before the person, but I don't know that he'd give it up so easily. I may drop a subtle hint and see what happens, though

Well! Good to see so many Enthusiastic people here. Or rather, a late discovery for me. Awesome posters there by Mr. Denver.

@Mig: The poster link was brilliant, Mikoyan Gurevich!

I have similar e-collection, aggregated at Google Picasa.
These are from Air India's Maharaja Collection. Sadly the Airline no more epitomizes what it stood for back then. But still, I enjoy skimming through them every now and then.

And another one, the regular Ads sans the Maharaja:
