Default myIDTravel -- Like or Don't Like

I noticed a few posts lately regarding the myIDTravel tool. AA does not use this, so I'm curious what do employees of airlines that use this tool think.

If you're company uses this tool for listing/ticketing travel on other airlines, do you like or dislike it?

What do you like or dislike about it?

    Thanks.

Aazed we have to use it for AB, B6, DL and AY.
I used it on AY and B6, very easy I like it. I do not know if it is as reliable for the loads like AF's GPnet
I did not have a ticket when I listed on B6, I was abroad, I made up a ticket number, I had a rate sheet made in the meantime, got my ticket when I arrived in the US, had the ticket number changed on the listing et voila.
Of course now with eZed coming it will easier....

It does not bother me, what I like about it is that you list and get it out of the way (you don't have to worry about waiting on hold for rez). What I don't like about it is that they use the little face things to indicate how a flight looks- those are useless. I have used it for listings on DL nad B6.

I just used it for the first time last week on LH for FRA-BUD-FRA.

    What I like:
Can purchase from anywhere in the world, as long as you have a credit card and a net connection.
    List automatically.
Can refund/ change tickets through the website if needed.

    What I do not like:
It can only be used on the airline you booked for, unlike paper ZEDs, which can be used on any ZED carrier.

Dan, it all depends on how US Airways works there ZED's, Delta uses MyIDtravel, other airlines use id90.com. I believe United uses both. You would need to talk with your travel department. For us at Skywest, we use myidtravel but have a few airlines that we still use paper tickets. If the other airline uses id90 then we do not have ZED agreements with them.

Had a few issues using it with Thai Airways (TG). It's ezed and limited to 2 types of credit cards. I got ticket confirmations A/O but had to list w/TG via phone. Just gave them record locators and ticket numbers. Very easy. Now--bad part--they charge foreign exchange fee from Thai Baht to dollars, plus the ticketing fee. Cancelled each ticket a week later when my disease came back. Did not get refund. Had to go back and do it all again. Got instant conf for refund but waiting for money to be applied to credit card. They don't take my Platinum Amex, which has no foreign exchange fees. I'll be curious if we get hit w/another fee (had to use Visa card).
Most of our other tickets are paper but we have a few dozen ezed airlines. It is nice to NOT have to go to res desk.

    Dan ...
myIDTravel is used for different things. You can access it to flight list using your paper ticket on certain carriers (e.g., DL, LH, AY, B6). If you're employed by an airline that is contracted with myIDTravel for ticketing services, then you can access the site to have an interline eTicket issued by your airline for travel on another airline OR to have an eTicket issued by the other airline for your travel on that airline. In these last two scenarios, the flight listing may be made through the myIDtravel tool concurrent with the ticket being issued.

I'm fairly certain that US is not a contracted carrier .... yet at least. So you would acess the site only to flight list on those airlines that require you to do so through the site (e.g., DL, LH, B6).

The problem for us is we used to get paper ZED's at the Delta ticket counter. Since the new ZED regulations came out we can no longer piggy back off of Delta's ZED program. Skywest has started their own program but we do not have as many agreements yet. Good thing about eZED's is you can get them as long as you have internet access. BAD thing is the few airlines we need to use paper tickets for we have to order from our travel department so you need to plan ahead as they will not work for trying to catch the next flight (or even a flight in the next few days).
