Oh, yeah, it's warm! AND it IS private <wink> You can use the main pool or swim in the sacred pool or the winding channel (down in the gorge area) or leave the hotel and go white water rafting in the real Ayung River. Even from your pool or terrace, you can hear the rafters squealing with delight as they hit the horseshoe bend, then zip through the property on the Ayung. The villa pools (many villas are upper level but with lots of steps to get there) are infinity and you can hang over the edge and soak up the view. It is UNBELIEVABLE! Bali is an amazing destination if you stay away from the Ozzie tourist areas near the beaches near Seminyak, etc. You can also travel up north for a more "real" tourist experience--much more relaxed and minimal traffic. I highly recommend Bali for the experience of a lifetime!
