    Default Bad Karma

I see nobody has metioned the Malaysian missing B777 here, for whatever but here is my take.

I think it's been hijacked and landed somewhere. I intially thought N.Korea. I figured it must be state sponsored. And I still think its a possibility. I don't believe it crashed in the ocean. It's being held in some hanger and all passangers are being detained. Initially I figured it could be packed with explosives as suggested reported by fox news and used as a weapon. I think the news as this stage is feeding us misinformation because that is the misinformation they are getting. It wouldn't surprise me if they are taking a hard look at land based areas that can support a B-777 runway with hiding capabilities. That is why I say N.Korea was a great place to hide this plane. Totally off limits to everyone and the pax can all pass for Chinese but maybe infiltrated by N. Koreans. That huge ARC they keep talking about.....forget that arc. That is misleading us.

Does anyone think its a big deal that the pilot had a flight simulator at home? I personally dont see it as an issue ( I have been trying to set up a decent one for a while)

I don't see how everyone downplays the fact about how hard it would be to land a b-777 and hide it somewhere. With a little bit of planning, I think its highly plausible. You could find a flat plane just about anywhere. I'm thinking old abandoned runways, old abandoned buildings possibly left over from WWII. I don't know much about having a simulator but I still feel that the Captain had something to do with this plane going missing. That missing plane might be in Indonesia or Malaysia itself.

I do think there's a good chance that this is inspired by that Ethiopian flight a month or so ago (that is, that the flight crew had something to do with it). Flight simulator - yes and no. I'm curious how elaborate the setup was, I mean a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator and a joystick isn't that hard to come by, or to be considered a "simulator" by the media when this is such a big story. And yes, it's fun to think about for airline geeks like us, but a pilot? I would have expected them to be sick of flying as it is, and wouldn't really care to have a simulator on top of it.

My theory: flown for a few hours to erase whatever is on the blackbox (they only save the last 2 hours at any given point, then "tape over" the oldest data). Probably ditched into the ocean, maybe Mariana trench, though North Korea is probably most likely air option in my opinion.

I also know that the Landsat satellite happened to go by not long after. I took a remote sensing class in college, and know that different materials give different "signature" of electromagnetic radiation (not just red, green, and blue light as we see, but also infrared, gamma, and a whole host of others). Would be interesting to find out how best to detect aluminum and see what you can find. But I'm sure there are people much more qualified than myself that are already doing that.

I know pilots like control in their cockpit, but I say, enough of that ability to turn the transponders off and on at will. There is no way to protect from pilot suicide either if this was a possibility. The simulator in itself was not a big deal but now after this plane going missing, IT IS A BIG DEAL. And it needs to be looked into.

But in the end, just another theory. I doubt we will ever know what happened unless the orange box is ever found. There are lots of airports all over the place. After each and every passing day, I am more and more reluctant to think that it actually landed safely will all pax on board safely. Unfortunately for family members. I hope I'm wrong and suddenly, we find out like they are being detained by China or something like that.

I was listening to NPR a while back, and they were talking with a pilot. He said that the reason pilots have the ability to turn the transponder off is to reduce clutter on the screens when they're on the ground. But that could be pretty easily automated, I would think.

Soon there will be some changes over this. Probably some device that stays "Pinging" the whole time. Watch and see.

Looks like they may have some debris right at the end of the ARC, it's like 1450 miles southwest of Perth Australia. Man, that was headed to ANTARCTICA if that is in fact debris from the jet. It's crazy but if this is a hit, that would be awesome detective work. Some very bright folks working on this. Lets see what's at the end of the arc. Right now, a Norwegian vessel is in the area. Planes flew over there to check things out with no luck due to visibility issues and foul weather.
