Ok, so I was blowing a cigar, minding my own business at the LHV, a bar at the casino floor, I didn't realize but suddenly a large crowd began to exit right by my table. Suddenly some rockers, DOUG ALDRICH included came out and sat on some long table, taking photos, kissing girls, shaking hands. I didn't know whom the hell these guys were. I had to ask the bar tender female and she gave me all the scoop. Former band members that got together and perform at the Rock Vault in LHV Casino in Vegas. Included are enclosed in the above link I posted. I initially got a bit tee'd off because I did'n't want to be bothered by me smoking my cigar and suddenly everyone gathers around right about where I happened to be seating, so I moved to the table farthest away as all the star struck fans gathered around Aldrich and company including a guitarist that played with HEART for 22 years. I just wanted to sit and smoke my cigar in peace. I didn't care about these guys, never heard of them by name. Here is Aldrich playing solo guitar......

Yea, very much like that. Excellent comparison SPONGEBUE
I know what you mean - When I'm at a bar, I enjoy a quieter setting to have a beer and chat with people. Adding in a pool table or something is great as well. But when music is blaring (live or recorded) that's really all you can do, whether you like the music or not. In my college town, there was a bar that made AWESOME bloody marys. I would sometimes walk there (a couple blocks away) just for one of them. Inspired me to start making my own. This bar was also a music venue (even called "House of Rock"). When a band was playing, I just wasn't interested in going there so much. But on their off nights? You'd get a record player (yes, actual vinyl) playing something on the sound system at a reasonable background volume, just enough that you could talk about that song with the bartender or something without having to shout about it. And it had just a few other people, so you could easily shoot the breeze with whoever else was there.
It wasn't that the music was blaring but the fans just coming out of the "VAULT" along with the players and starstruck fans just kind of invaded my quiet space. I had to move away not only for more space, but so people wouldn't give me evil stares when cigar smoke goes in their face. Me trying to be courteous to the non smokers.
