Anyone familiar with LITTLE ROCK? Planning a quick run there sometime next month. (When all the kids get back into school so they leave us non-rev's a seat.) I'm in it for the TOLTEC mounds.

I am originally from Arkansas and have family in the Little Rock area (I basically grew up on the land that the Embassy Suites on Chenal Pkwy sits on) but I have never been to the Toltec Mounds...
Any advice on Hot Springs or you have any tips on what to see around there?
Not really much to do in Little Rock, except tour the State Capital and the Clinton Library...but I would definately recommend Hot Springs...that is a great place to get a way and just bum around for a few days....Lake Hamilton is a good recreation lake, the hot springs baths are relaxing and specialty shops for shopping...
I'm convinced about Hot Springs. Thanks for the information. I'll probably make a run either Sept or Oct to Little Rock. LE PETIT ROCHE. Thanks for that again.
I was back from Little Rock on the 12th or so. Did all I planned to do. It was very interesting. And I did happen to stay in the Embassy Suites in Little Rock and also in Hot Springs. Great hotel. That was the wife's hotel employee deal we got there. The Embassy Suites in Little Rock was around the financial district. Clear across town from the airport utilizing I-630? Easy to get around, very simple city and small. Saw where Douglas McCarthur was born and also the Clinton library. Hot springs was a pleasant surprise. Flight were real full coming back, I thought for a moment I would have to rent a vehicle and drive 8 hours to Houston. But we made it back. We definately got plans for a return visit.
When you come back, if you have the time, drive to Fort Smith. Beautiful area, lots to do.
