You can fly on some codeshare AF flts but that probably would NOT include anything like what you need, of course!
I'd say that's a really nice friend, but ck pricing /visas. etc. Dunno if Ivory Coast requires yellow fever vaccine, or visas but flying into Dakar or Accra can be up to $100, some airport fees/taxes can exceed $50+ fare costs. And, of course, if he doesn't have high seniority, getting on some Delta flights in nearly impossible.
I'd spend as much time smooching in Paris and just try to find deals to meet her sometime. Maybe the AF thing will change but probably not too soon, even with the new agreements starting. Good luck!
