Drewmeister. I got news for you. Statue of Liberty was a zoo back in the early 1970's too. Just one of those places people will always want to see. I remember standing behind a school going up the spiral stairs. Two steps, stop, three steps stop....but we got to see it. I don't remember the length of time on the line but what I do remember is being up there on the windows on the crown. Tend to remember the good things. Lines are just a fact of life. IN NEW YORK CITY.
Mrs 76er. TUBE STEAK??? I think I'll pass on that. I don't know why but I would think a manicure equals huge bucks in NYC. We take advantages of those sort of things in Mexico and Latin America where it's definately cheap. If all else fails, we hit the ones here in Houston where Asian ladies do great inexpensive work. The Staten Island Ferry I remember taking it from Battery Park. I remember it being very windy and cold. We went in November of 1972. May have been 1971 too. Probably both years, went twice. Thanks for the information and tips.
