I took the bus... note it isn&#39;t exactly direct or express. We had to change buses at a street corner and wait for another one. My friend (American mind you) was convinced we would be mugged on this street corner... it didn&#39;t seem so bad to me, and I have a very high sensitivity to safety.

Far cheaper to split the cab with a friend to get to the quarter!

Heaps to see on a day trip, look inside the church, wander around antique shops, have a po boy, have a that drink... huricane?cafe du monde, bourbon st etc. I&#39;ve been on several day trips and get bored after 5hrs mind you. I want to do an overnight one time so I can hit Bourbon st for real
