Hi. I actually resigned from Southwest about 2 months ago to go to lawschool. Due to some issues, it may be a good year before I get to start school. I had convinced myself that I wanted out of the airline industry, but I guess it's in my blood.
Delta had a job posting for immediate openings for Reservation Agents about a week ago. I e-mailed my resume. Now I see the posting is gone. I'm assuming they got the desired amount of resumes and will go through them. Any feedback on how long their screening/hiring process is, and any feedback on what it's like to work for Delta, advancement opportunities, etc.. is greatly appreciated. I'm dreading the question of "Why did you leave Southwest". However, I always wanted to work for a big international airline.

We're hiring again, about 160, from both inside and outside the company. Great company to work for even with our financial situation, and RES is a great place to start. Any call center job requires that you're ok with sales observations, some which you know about, some which you don't, but if you don't mind the restrictions of sitting down at a computer and talking to customers all day, with lots of stats on your performance, it's a great job. Good luck.
