So, in a completely off handed note from Perry, it seems Worldspan will be out, and Deltamatic will be in...

    No Rapid Reprice?

So, are we WS folks going to be learning how to change the Vacuum tubes and the Reel to Reel tapes on the computers?

I read back in August that they had chosen PARS. Has this changed?

Yep - we got the word today... well, yesterday.

To be frank, it's the first time where I've really seen a dark cloud about the merger descend upon the office. At first, there was some grumbling, and a bit of fear, but we all thought 'Oh well, such is, such as...' but the announcement, particularly in the offhand, almost as an aside way it was presented has got people worried, especially considering how such a big deal was made about how we were going to stay with PARS, we're all wondering what else will be presented in a 'Oh, by the way....'

Well, unfortunately, things don't always work as smoothly as you would want during a merger and some decisions that been made have to be changed. I hope you can understand this and don't take it as being against NW. I don't think that's the way DL meant it to be. It was just a dollars and cents issue.

It's more the idea that NW doesn't want to tell us what's going on - a lot of people are worried as things seems to change every day...

Sorry to hear that. It sounds like the old NW management style to me. Those people will have to learn that that style doesn't fly at DL.

    Posted in the wrong thread!

Well, we did our first training for "Day One" yesterday, and to be honest, it was completely useless - it covered things ANY res agent should know including how to use a route map...

    *sigh*

It's coming sooner than later and we're NOT being prepared at all... No one knows what to expect, I mean, not even how we're supposed to answer the damn phones...
