    Default Your $2 worth?

Ok--what would you do? Even with a shared win in tonight's Powerball?
Not that I expect any payout for my minimal purchase (not a lottery player/gambler) but I did make a last-minute buy an hour ago but if you don't play, you can't win...
So, who did and what would you do?

I bought 2 tickets, figuring that while 2 out of a kajillion is still not much, the odds of my first number being the right one is also pretty low

I figure it was something to help back a little daydreaming. While it's hard to fathom that kind of money, what I would rather do is buy a nice home close to my work, as well as a REALLY nice place in the mountains. Yes, I would still work - if I didn't have some kind of structure in my life, something to work towards, some kind of schedule, I would go nuts. But that's not to say I wouldn't look into something eventually that would let me take some extended vacations.

Otherwise, I'd like to think I'd be charitable with it to some extent. But let's be honest, from a psychological standpoint, this kind of thing not only changes your life, but it changes your entire way of thinking. Scarcity is no longer an issue. You become so used to getting what you want, when you want it, and in most cases you build up enough interest to buy it on your way to the store. I know I wouldn't be anything near the person I am today, and quite honestly I do like my life the way it is for the most part. While those daydreams sure would be neat to come true, I'm kind of glad I didn't win. As Charlie Bucket in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory said, I bet the winning numbers make the lottery ticket taste terrible. Or something like that.

I bought 5 tickets because I figured that I'm either going to win or I'm not. I told my family that I wouldn't even pick up the money until I had secured a reliable, smart tax attorney. It is so much money that it boggles the mind. Looks like at least 3 winning tickets are out there.

We decided to buy 5. For our $10, we got only ONE number!
Bue--you could probably buy a mountain for that kind of money plus a "nice" house in the city!
I can't fathom having that kind of money. I'm not in the Kartrashian league for shopping. I don't have much use for $5000 Chanel handbag or thousand dollar heels.
I'd def do same as MRSDONNA: get the attorney and accountant in place before we made any moves. I will admit that dreaming of the new villa in Bali, house in South Africa and over-water bungalow in Bora Bora was fun while it lasted. Guess I won't be taking a shower in my Emirates suite. I kept thinking how much we could help w/Wounded Warrior Project and Mercy Ships and so many more favorite charities.

Like Brian I bought 2 lottery tickets, $1 billion is kinda my threshold. And like Donna and M7, I’d line up an attorney, an accountant and definitely change my phone number.
On the fantasy front one of my first purchases would be a 1939 Bugatti which I would drive up ad down pass the Tesla design studio, then head north to Carmel and checkout oceanfront real estate.
