More details would be helpful. Where do you live now? What kinds of outdoorsy things do you enjoy? Which airline do you work for, so we can think of possible routes to take?

I may be biased here, but I moved to Colorado just over a year ago, and it's a whole new world for me compared to Minnesota/Wisconsin, where I'm from. Beautiful climate, gorgeous scenery, lots to do outside. Many cities in, around, and far from the mountains, all with different personalities.

We are from Tx and thinking of taking alaska airlines from sea to ANC ,recently we went to PDF and drove to sea also did hiking of mt.hood .drove to mt st helen ,mt rainier and spent a day at Columbia gorge.
So far suggestions given to me about montana is like a lot of activities for teenagers on the other hand for alaska it's more of nature but not as many activities

haha--I was going to suggest SEA. The ferries and hiking are superb!
What about Costa Rica? DL has flts to LIR and SJO. Plenty of other carriers go to eitehr--as well as Nica. Take a look at familygetaway.com.
You may have a tough time flying to/from Alaska.

I'm sure mrsDonna can advise better, but I have friends who freak out trying to nonrev on AS any timebefore cruise season is over. They have family at North Pole and never travel that way until after Sept. (DL retirees)
CR could be awesome for your femme adventurers. They have passports, yes?

Unless you are traveling the day before/after a cruise is set to leave (usually a Thursday/Friday/Saturday), there are so many flights that it is generally possible to get on something. As with most flights, Tues/Wed is generally the best. If you decide to head up to Anchorage, PM me and I'll check the loads for the dates you want.

As to activities, there are so many in Alaska. Teenagers, however, don't seem to appreciate the villages the way adults do. There isn't much to do that isn't hiking and fishing in the small communities. Anchorage, however, has a multitude of options and a city (small though it is) that teenagers seem to appreciate. They just can't seem to live without their phones <g>

Never been to Montana. It's on my list for next summer so let us know if you go there.

Oh, and if you do decide to go to Anchorage, make sure you take the time to check out the combat fishing.

UA has been surprisingly decent DEN-ANC. Then again, that could be because of the season. Might be a little trickier in the summer, haven't looked in a while.
