Hmmm, a friend of yours 29 Palms?
I have to say I hadn't heard that Fleetwood Mac song. But somehow I don't think they were singing about flying witches.

Sure they are. If you read between the lines. If you are flying in Mexico over mountains and hills without an airplane, because you got hypnotized, the chances are, that you got hypnotized by a BRUJA. If you go to these places where they read your palm or a FORTUNE TELLER to learn about your fate, these are BRUJAS. They practice hypnotization. Very common throughout history in Latin America and, believe it or not, our United States in NEW MEXICO, TEXAS, ARIZONA and CALIFORNIA. And yes. This is a friend of mine, as long as I scratch her back but not the other way around. Them are some long nails man.

I don't know 29Palms,
"It's the same kind of story
That seems to come down from long ago
Two friends having coffee together
When something flies by their window
It might be out on that lawn
Which is wide, at least half of a playing field
Because theres no explaining what your imagination
Can make you see and feel"
Sounds to me like somebody had a little something extra in their coffee. Drink Up!

Well, consider the source. FLEETWOOD MAC in the 1970's. Major rock band. Back in 1988, I was on my way to GUAM from Jacksonville Florida, I knew I was going to face 30 days of boredome, so I recorded some tunes from a rock station in a cassette. One of those songs was that one by Fleetwood Mac. I had one of those Walkmans with the head phones. I would listen to the tunes as I walked around the ship taking care of my duties. I can remember listening to this tune going by the REVELIGIGEDOS islands south of BAJA. The island of Socorro in Mexico. Not quite flying over it without an airplane, but cruising along its shores on a ship. A feeling of traquility. I was definately hypnotized.
