One other thing. In SCL they would not let anyone have a seat request until they were sure they would have seat on the flight. This meant we had to make a mad dash to get to the gate, even though we were there way ahead of time. Not sure if it was that gate agent or if it is their policy. Just a heads up.

With todays quake I wouldn't be surprised if flights get canceled again.

    the fee is $130
check with the Chilean consulate website--it's reciprocal with our deal with Chile--they just allow us to pay at airport as opposed to us making Chileans get an advance visa. It is good for 10 yrs--same situation with Argentina.
Please update your info--2 yrs is a long time. I would wonder is Hotel Espanoles is even standing?? Hope so!! After the 8.8 earlier this month...

I know, that is why I mentioned the age of the info in my original post. Hell, I wouldn't have even posted but no one answered the OP's question, so I figured I'd give what info I had.

It was after the 8.8, but one will have to check after today's quake.
