Default Summer loads on UA from EWR-DUB

I always look for airlines you wouldn't normally think fly a route when non-revving. Normally you think USAir or Aer Lingus on the Northeast to Dublin route, but I see United runs it twice a day from EWR on 757s. I tried United EWR-LHR a few summers ago for the same reason and the flights were empty. Any thoughts or experience on the EWR-DUB route??? Thanks to all for your help!!

It does tend to be full, but doesn't hurt to ask if you have a day in mind. Keep in mind, those 757s are pretty small planes. But this summer, we will have a 757 going to ORD as well. That's a new route, and sometimes those new routes have some extra seats! There's also a couple flights from SNN to ORD and (I assume) EWR. Ditto EDI!

thanks for the info. I did a little digging and it looks like this would be too risky a trip. I looked at Aer Lingus/United/US Airways flight loads around that time - including ticket prices (cheap tickets sometime means more seats), and two months out they all look bad. I may wait until Sept when things tend to open up...cheers

Well, don't look too much at the particular season. Be open to ideas as time goes on. Maybe around 4th of July, for example. And airline pricing is always changing. If you have a free weekend, ask what loads are like out here, and I'll take a look. Worst thing that can happen is that the flight is, in fact, full.

Also, our LHR flights tend to have seats. But there are also high departure taxes.
