Sign up fro the flight benefits with US, it's always good to have a back up. Anywho, I consider our guest passes to be pricry. For example I priced a roundtrip from MKE to PHX and I came up with $141.60 (taxes included). ATL-CDG roundtrip came up with $525.00 (taxes included).

    Regards,

Are the Buddy Passes only good for flights within the United States or can I use it to go to places like China or Japan?

Well, you *would* be able to use them for places like China and Japan (going by the standby method, of course)... if US actually flew to those places. They're a much smaller carrier, serving the US/Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, and Europe. Maybe Tel Aviv, which is technically Asia.
